Stefania Del Prete

EpiTRAITS fellow at Institut Jean-Pierre Bourgin, INRA Centre de Versailles-Grignon, Chromatin dynamics and gene regulation group

Stefania Del Prete is a PhD student in Valérie Gaudin’s group at the Institut Jean-Pierre Bourgin, INRA Versailles. Her main interest is to understand the functional relationship between gene regulation and the 3D nuclear organization in the model system Arabidopsis thaliana.

Stefania was born in Napoli, Italy. In 2010 She received her Bachelor Degree in Molecular Biology from Università degli studi di Padova with the public defense of her degree thesis “Characterization of monoclonal antibodies against potassium channels in Arabidopsis thaliana”. In 2012 she got a Lifelong-Learning-Program fellowship that allowed her to perform a master degree thesis “Study of the role of a new small nucleolar RNA in longevity, stress resistance and neurodegeneration in Drosophila melanogaster” at CNRS in Gif-sur-Yvette (France), under the supervision of Dr. Jean-René Martin. In 2012, she obtained a Master Degree in Health Biology with full marks (final mark of 110/110).
