Pawel Mikulski is a PhD student in Dr. Daniel Schubert’s laboratory at the Heinrich Heine University, Duesseldorf. His research focuses on plant developmental epigenetics and the characterization of novel PcG (Polycomb-group)-associated proteins in flowering regulation and development.
Pawel graduated from University of Warsaw with a Bachelor and Master degree in the subject of Biotechnology. For the MSc thesis, he studied the activity of gene promoters putatively involved in seed dormancy regulation or noncoding RNA production. In addition, part of his research concentrated on development of a novel method for deciphering RNA-protein interaction. The projects were done in Dr. Simon Swiezewski’s group in the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAS.
