Blaise Weber is a Ph.D. student in the group of Maike Stam at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His research project aims at understanding the role of chromosomal interactions in the process of flowering in both Arabidopsis thaliana and Zea mays.
He received a B.Sc. in Biology and Biochemistry from the Université Paris Diderot and a M.Sc. in Genetics from the Magistère Européen de Génétique at the same university. He joined Professor Jan Sap’s laboratory for his master thesis where he participated in the implementation of a novel approach to identify new tyrosine phosphatases involved in oligodendrocyte differentiation.
